This programme aims at equipping students with theories, knowledge and skills helpful to analyse literary works and actual societies of contemporary era. To achieve this, the programme is designed to introduce students to different theories and various skills that govern literary works criticism. Among the theories to be covered include: twentieth century literary theories and literary theories and criticism. The above mentioned theories and others will give right competence to students in looking into literary works and on contemporary society and comment on them in a scholarly manner.

At the end of the programme, students are expected to be well informed literary artists and hence be able to be employed or employ themselves as:
