Economic development officers work with communities, local government and business to bring investment, jobs and facilities to an area.
Works independently under the general supervision of the Community Development Director. Also works with various city advisory committees relating to economic development and redevelopment activities. Exercises independent judgment in performing professional and administrative work. Supervises personnel related to the redevelopment and economic development activities of the division. Is responsible for the management of the City’s Community Redevelopment Agencies (CRA’s) and oversees City boards assigned to the division. Requires broad administrative and management skills along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
