This has contributed to the development of more distance learning programs for students. Distance learning coordinators are responsible for ensuring these programs are in place and are operating as expected.

Distance learning coordinators may be involved in registering students for programs. They help establish goals for the programs that they offer, ensure that staff are in place to teach classes and create course schedules. Their duties can also involve training the teachers and supervising the staff involved with distance learning programs.
